July 2015 at Poltimore

What  a month July was here at Poltimore House and Grounds. Our busiest month of the year started off with the Four of Swords theatre group joining us for another season of Gawain & The Green Knight. A great success with a resprise of their popular show where Gawain took on a fearsome challenge whilst leading the audience through the house and into the gardens.

Next we saw our 5th year of the Summer Craft Fair when over 40 stallholders and customers braved the wet weather to enjoy a great day out. Our cafe sold out of pasties, sandwiches and cake so a great day for us to.

Cygnet Theatre group did amazing performances of 'The Triumph of Love' by Marviaux (1688-1763) to audiences enjoyed the evening sun in the grounds of house. A great opportunity to enjoy a picnic on the grounds of which many did partake.

Our last and most adventurous event to date was teaming up with Crikey Nostalgia Events when we opened out gates to the public for a 2-day vintage event of music, stalls, childrens entertainment, classic cars and bands playing music from years gone by. See our gallery to see some great pictures.

We're now having a rest but if you'd like to visit our next big open day is the Heritage Day - with FREE ENTRY - on 13th September 11am-4pm.
