Poltimore Festival

Sunday 28th May 11am - 9pm

Poltimore Festival is back for its second year, showcasing the best music, theatre, art, film and spoken word from all over the South West. Join us for a jam-packed programme at Poltimore House and Grounds to celebrate a wealth of talent in the South West - including acts like Haunt the Woods, The Little Unsaid, Tobias Ben Jacob, Adam Beattie, Cara Ludlow, Lottie Jones, Exeter University Theatre Company, Theatre With Teeth and many more.

Nature Weekend Talk

Saturday 3rd June - Doors 6.30pm - 7pm for Talk

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm talk by Caradoc Doy entitled 'Poltimore trees around the World'. Caradoc is a gardening storyteller. His talk will appeal to gardener and non-gardener alike, giving an insight into the social history of the time and revealing many interesting stories behind the plants and trees at Poltimore House.

Come and recieve your map of the grounds so you can trace the trees in the Poltimore grounds on the Nature Day on Sunday 4th June

Enjoy the nature themed stalls. See the wildlife stands and enjoy delicious refreshments in the Chapel Tea Room.

Friends of Poltimore House - AGM

Saturday 17th June 12pm

“The 2017 AGM of The Friends of Poltimore House will be held in the Chapel at Poltimore House on Saturday 17 June at 12.00. All members are invited to attend the meeting and stay on afterwards for a “bring and share” lunch.

Please take this chance of participating in the management and development of the Committee - you could consider standing yourself, or you could nominate a fellow member for election.  Help in seconding nominations is available if required.  Committee Members  elected in 2017 will serve until the next AGM. Nominees, proposers and seconders must all be members of The Friends of Poltimore House.

Fathers Day 'Super Day'

Sunday 18th June 11.30am - 4pm

The whole family will enjoy a day out at Poltimore. Enjoy a walk in the grounds and around the house. The Tudor Dance Group wenches will be in the Tudor Courtyard. We also have a lace exhibition, living history display and a licenced bar so dad can be treated to a 'pint' and a pasty whilst the children enjoy the days activities.
