RAISING the funds to create the new future for POLTIMORE HOUSE is a huge challenge.

With the award of an English Heritage grant of £500,000 for project development and repair, mainly of the north and east range roofs, we have made a great start towards funding Phase 1. Poltimore House Trust is working in partnership with the Friends to raise funds and grants through events at the House and opportunities to visit the house and grounds, and through making applications to a range of grant-giving bodies and trusts. Just to bring Poltimore House back into use will cost at least £5.5 million. We will need even more to establish the new functions and activities in the house and the grounds, and to create new life for this great building. Our next steps are mapped out - both to develop the sustainable business that will provide the future uses of the building, and to raise funds for the next phases of repair and renovation. But we need help from everyone with an interest in Poltimore.
